Theresa May’s Speech Conveyed Clear Information About Hard Brexit

The BBC News reported it like that, “Under the gilt and candelabra of Lancaster House where Margaret Thatcher extolled the virtues of joining the single market, Theresa May has just uttered some of the most important words she will ever deliver.”

As Theresa May said, these “12 objectives that amount to one big goal: a new, positive and constructive partnership between Britain and the European Union.” It includes: Certainty, Control of our own laws, Strengthen the Union, Maintain the Common Travel Area with Ireland, Control of immigration, Rights for E.U. nationals in Britain, and British nationals in the E.U., Protect workers’ rights, Free trade with European markets, New trade agreements with other countries, The best place for science and innovation, Cooperation in the fight against crime and terrorism, A smooth & orderly Brexit.

Overall, the speech was really gaining momentum, which conveyed the information of hard brexit. All sides had different reactions to Theresa May’s speech. First in the capital market, the pound saw its best day's gain in more than eight years against the dollar on Tuesday, helped by rising inflation and the Prime Minister Theresa May's major speech on Brexit. British Chambers of Commerce said “In business negotiations, what’s required and what eventually get will not be consistent forever, so as the negotiation about leaving EU, we have to sit tight”. UKIP leader Paul Nuttall said he feared a "slow-motion Brexit", adding: "We want this done quickly." The chartered management committee expressed that, Teresa Mayis speech will inevitably bring the influence of the decline in number of foreign workers, companies are all feel worried because skilled people can’t be cultivated in a short time.

All in all, at the time Britain leaving the EU, any plan is extremely important.

Meryl Streep slammed Trump in the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards was held at Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills in Hollywood, and Meryl Streep won the Cecil B. DeMille Award - basically a lifetime achievement award. And there were many, many powerful performances this year that did exactly that -- breathtaking, compassionate work." She mentioned many famous stars, and pointed out that they were all not born in America, but they devoted themselves to Hollywood, "Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners and if we kick them all out, you'll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts."

After that, she began to criticize Trump. “There was one performance this year that stunned me,” she said, “not because it was good. There was nothing good about it. But it was effective, and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth.” That was that moment when "the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter, someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back." She said that broke her heart, “I still can't get it out of my head because it wasn't in a movie, it was real life. This instinct to humiliate when it's modeled by someone in the public ... by someone powerful, it filters down into everyone's life because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same." The actress also said, "When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose."

Trump responded it in New York Times in a brief interview, then he fought back in his Twitter, “Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes.” He also said that “Hillary flunky who lost big” to satirize Meryl Streep.

Mariah Carey Messed the New Year’s Eve Up With a Disastrous Performance
